Our Founder.
Founded in 2018 by Shawn Kishore, The Salted Plum was born from his vision of creating a welcoming space where friends and family could come together to savour the unique flavours of Taiwanese-inspired cuisine. Despite the challenges brought by the pandemic that led to the restaurant’s closure in 2020, Shawn’s passion and commitment to The Salted Plum never wavered.
Throughout this time, he has tirelessly refined classic recipes and crafted new Taiwanese-Singaporean fusion culinary experiences for the community. Today, Shawn is thrilled to reopen The Salted Plum, inviting you to rediscover and enjoy these delightful flavours once again.
We began our journey in 2018.
We have been dedicated to bringing the rich, in-authentic flavours of Taiwanese food to the heart of Singapore. Our journey took an unexpected turn in 2020 when we had to close our doors due to the pandemic.
However, our passion for serving delicious cuisine remained strong. Now, after a four-year hiatus, we are excited to bring back our signature dishes and new menu items for you to enjoy in a cosy, modern setting!
